Thursday
This week was probably one of my favorite weeks in Dublin so far. Thursday, I had a great day at work. I was working on a new task, drafting briefs to send to one of the medical experts in the case. This combined a bunch of things I had been working on into one. I continued to work on this sort of activity, throughout the rest of the week, and it sort of feels like the company I am working at finally trusts me with the bigger tasks, rather than smaller minute things they need done. After work, the program had a traditional Irish house party, but I got out at 4, and this wasn’t until 6. My original plan had been to go to a park and wander until the dinner, but in true Irish fashion, it had started to rain. Unfortunately I was wearing white pants, and had no umbrella, so I was left no choice but to dart into a store near my office and do some shopping to kill the time (and buy an umbrella of course). I then went to the dinner, and while the food wasn’t the best, I enjoyed the show afterwords. While the music was good, what really stood out to me was the dancer, she really impressed me, and brought me back to my 5 year old self who wanted to learn Irish step dancing.

Saturday
Saturday, we had the gaelic games. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I would love this activity going into it, but I was excited that since it didn’t start till 1:00 I could sleep in. Or so I thought. It turns out that the apartment cleaners come in on saturday mornings around 9am. Its ok though, because I used my extra time in the morning to look at taylor swift tickets. I had been considering buying tickets all week, but was having a hard time justifying it. Luckily, that morning I found a floor ticket for a reasonable price, and jumped to order it! I honestly wasn’t totally sure it it was a scam, but I was willing to risk it. A couple hours later we started to head to the gaelic games, and it was definitely a chaotic process. This saturday was pride in dublin, and the city was shut down, messing up our bus route. Luckily, I left early, so I still made it on time, but a lot of people in the group couldn’t say the same. Oh, and also it was raining, and we were playing outside… I was definitely a little hesitant about the games, but honestly, it was a lot of fun! After the games, I went on a trek across the city to get my merch for the concert, as I didn’t want to worry about the bus system. I walked for a little over an hour, and was definitely over it by the end, but my day was not over yet, as I still had to get some accessories for my outfit. I went to claires and got some glitter and earrings.
Sunday
Sunday was dedicated exclusively to Taylor Swift. I arrived at the concert at like 4, which was honestly later than I had planned. I was expecting to be pretty far back, however I guess I got lucky and was just one row back from the barricade. I also made a friend, who had also gone to the concert by herself. Anyways, long story short, it was the best night of my life and I will never forget it.

Monday
On Monday we went to the Guinness storehouse. I was expecting the tour and experience to be a bit dull, but it was honestly a really cool experience. However, having the Guinness at the storehouse did not change my opinion on the drink. I stand by the fact that it is a bit gross, and definitely not my drink of choice.
