My recommendations- Week 6

If someone were to ask me for recommendations in Ireland, I would most certainly tell them all about my favorite places to go. There are so many things in Dublin to explore, but if you are only visiting for a short amount of time, you have to visit the best places.

To begin with, I would immediately recommend The Little Kitchen-
The Little Kitchen was the restaurant that we went to as a class for our Welcome Dinner. It is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Dublin, so much so that I am making my mom and sister go there when they come to visit. The Little Kitchen is located on Leeson Street Upper in Dublin. It is a little restaurant that offers amazing dishes at a reasonable price

Grafton Street-
Grafton Street is a welcoming and vibrant street with stores, bars and restaurants. They have some very popular stores such as Disney, North Face and Levis, but they also have some cool stores that you would only find in Ireland. It is always busy and there is always some type of live music. Grafton Street is also surrounded by many interesting things within Dublin such as Merrion Square and St.Stephen’s Green, which are both rich in history.

O’Donoghues bar-
O’Donoghues is the bar that my friends and I always end up at for a night out. Although the drinks are certainly expensive, and it is more touristy, I have always met the coolest people from different countries there. Located at Merrion Row in Dublin, O’Donoghues is one of the oldest bars in Dublin and is meant to give you the authentic experience of a pub. There is always live music and everyone is always welcoming. It’s open seven nights a week and musicians from all around Ireland come to play there. There are also TVs that allow visitors to watch sporting events.

Lastly, Cirillos-
Cirillo’s is one of my go to spots for some good pizza. It is close to where I work, so I am luckily within walking distance of the restaurant, and it is amazing. The restaurant was opened recently and is owned by an Italian family with a long history in Italian food and wine. They serve many dishes such as homemade wood fired pizza, and many different types of pasta. It is most definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Dublin and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Me drawing John at O’Donoghues. I think I did a pretty good job.
