How is it possible we only have a week and a half left. Sitting in work this week everyday seems to be moving as slow as always but the second John and I get on the five O’clock bus it seems like we blink and the day is over. I can not stop thinking about how we only have a couple days in Dublin left before we won’t all see eachother again until the semester starts. Just last night me, Bella, Sam, and John were talking about how although it will only be for a month since the day we met we have done everything together.
Although this week was similar to the ones before, we went to work, had dinner, and explored the town together, we were much more cognisant of the fact that we needed to spend as much time with each other as possible in the coming days. This past Monday we got to take a hike at Howth. Although making a one hour commute on a monday morning seemed less than ideal it was a beautiful hike. Walking through the thorn bushes in the moment seemed extremely unnecessary however the view walking along the cliff was beautiful. After the hike we were able to get lunch and explore the town before coming back to dublin. The past couple of days we have also all been planning and getting more and more excited to go to AMSTERDAM! After seeing so much of Dublin together we all can not wait to travel and explore a new city together.
One of the best parts of this experience has been the similarity of everyone’s situation. We all came in not knowing each other and have been able to share so many parts of our lives with new people that have become our best friends. From something as small as me showing Sam how I make my yogurt bowls for dinner to all of us going to Amsterdam for the free weekend where Bella will show us around. Or even going to church with each other and grabbing dinner afterwards. Our lives have become so connected that the idea of not seeing eachother everyday is baffling. We all feel like one big family and each week as we meet new people together, we try a yet another new experience together, or as different people have their friends or family (meeting Bella and Nicoles siblings) visit we become more and more interconnected in each other’s lives.
