With just a few fleeting weeks to go, I’m really trying to savor everything and check off some more boxes. Starting last Friday, I’ve been trying to go out to more places throughout the city in attempt to prevent consistency. On Saturday we first went to the Hill of Tara which reminded me of Pennslyvania with its rolling hills and generally flat landscape. Later on we went to Trim Casle which was impressive as others we’ve seen. We then went into town and Cassidy and I, fiends for a chai latte, searched about 10 different spots until our craving was satisfied. Per usual, it was great. Later on we went to Stonefield which was quite the steep hike but short, although I think sambas weren’t a great shoe choice. In Castlepollard I got a steak sandwich which was just straight up steak, not shaved. One of my favorite foods. After walking around some neighborhood and getting a few freckles (I may be lying to myself) sitting in the sun, we left for Ushnagh Hill. Tons of cows on this walk, reminding me of where I run in Vermont on the Common Rd at Sugarbush. Kind of ironic provided my lunch. Then probably my favorite part of the weekend was the Euros!! Shoutout Brewdog for being an actually perfect spot to watch. It was such a vibe, tons of booths crowded with excited fans and bar food that I wish I’d saved room for. I think I can confidently say its been a hot minute since I watched soccer, especially start to finish. I was pretty locked in, confused, but rooting for Spain. Thought it was a strong match. Afterwards we went to a roof garden spot in the city which had some solid dancing downstairs too. Chirping England fans was pretty funny. The next day for our Monday trip we went to Howth. The hike was lowkey long but never boring, and it brought about some pretty sick views. I don’t golf but that course looked real nice with the paired ocean and mountains in the background. Once the loop was complete, we headed into town. Felt nostalgic seeing sailboats in the harbor and having so many seafood options. I went and got calamari and chips which were perfect. Then on Tuesday after a pretty chill day at work, saw the new Quiet Place movie which was very very good in my opinion and one that I’d recommend. Lastly today on Wednesday at work I helped set up for a Neutrogena lunch event for media and influencers and promoting new products. Super cool experience. Afterwards I went to KC peaches and got one of the bowls you can take home and filled it up with a myriad of foods to cure my indecisiveness on what I exactly wanted. We’re also working to book up our upcoming Amsterdam weekend which I am obviously psyched about. I’m so excited for this period here in Dublin, I’m actually having the best time.
