As the trip ends, I reflect on all the good times in Dublin. It is hard to believe that the trip is over in three days, and I’ll be back in New York. For our last weekend, many of us took a trip to Amsterdam. Amsterdam has always been on my bucket list, and I’ve heard great things about it. Let’s say it lived up to my expectations and some more. The beautiful architecture, accompanied by the passageway of canals, made it a very relaxing place to visit. I was not ready for the scorching heat, which is uncommon in […]
It sounds wild to say that I only have ten days left in Europe. I was arriving at the Dublin airport yesterday to embark on this journey. Something I appreciated about this week was getting back into a routine. Last week was hectic, so I was relieved to have a relatively mellow week. One aspect of this trip that I’d like to highlight is working out. I met Cat for the first time on this trip, and we became workout buddies. She’s a D1 Lacrosse player, and I’m a NARP, so I appreciate her pushing me to my limits. I […]
This week was one of the more action-packed ones. I still can’t believe how quickly time passed while I was here. I can’t wait to see what the last two weeks offer. On Wednesday, we celebrated Cat’s birthday in the city. We went to this lovely Italian restaurant near Temple Bar, where I got a delicious steak. It was a great time to chat over dinner with many of us and spend time in the city. We met with Dean Kepner later at night, and she showed us her favorite spots. I was grateful that my mom and her best […]
Another great week in the books! Time has flown by, and I am already halfway through the trip. We saw a live Irish music performance at the Irish House Party to start the week. Dinner was served before the performance, and I thoroughly enjoyed my beef and Guinness stew. Another memorable part of the dinner was my Irish Coffee. My mom had previously told me what authentic Irish coffee tastes like and lived up to the hype. As the performance began, I was enthralled by their effortless ability to compose beautiful music works. I was surprised to find out that […]
As I approach midway during my trip to Ireland, I am grateful for all the great people and experiences. Last week, we heard Irish folklore stories and visited the Blarney stone in Cork. I look forward to the rest of my time here in Ireland, as it has flown by rapidly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Irish folklore stories told by a native in Stags Head Pub. He taught us about different myths and legends in Irish folklore. The Banshee caught my attention because I had previously learned about it in high school. If you hear the Banshee scream, it means […]
