Well…. it’s over! I’m not ready to leave yet, but I am excited to reunite with my friends and family back home. This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am immensely grateful for all the friends I made and the memories I created over these past eight weeks. Time really did fly by. This final week was the perfect way to wrap up my time here. This past weekend was a free weekend, and a large group of us decided to travel to Amsterdam! It was an incredible experience, and I did so many amazing things. We went on […]
I can’t believe there is only one week left! I am not ready for this adventure to end yet. This week has been jam-packed with excitement and adventure. I embarked on a solo day trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, a city brimming with charm and history. Wandering through the cobblestone streets, I explored the stunning architecture and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere. I visited iconic sites such as Edinburgh Castle, Victoria Street, and the Royal Mile. I also wandered through numerous shops, restaurants, and historical places, including a delightful stop at Mary’s Milk Bar, renowned for its ice cream. The city […]
I can’t believe there are only two weeks left! I am not ready for this adventure to end yet. This week has been jam-packed with excitement and adventure. Celebrating the 4th of July while in Ireland was quite an interesting experience. Embracing the classic American spirit, we enjoyed hotdogs, burgers, and milkshakes before heading to the beach. It was a fantastic way to observe an American holiday while abroad. This past week was a whirlwind, as I attended three concerts in just four days. Although it was exhausting, the thrill was worth it. I kicked off the series by seeing […]
This week has flown by so quickly! I can’t believe we’re already over halfway through our trip. Time seems to be passing faster and faster by the day. Last Thursday, we attended the Irish House Party. It was an incredible experience to be immersed in Irish music and dance culture. The musicians were exceptionally talented, and I particularly enjoyed learning about the uilleann pipes, a traditional Irish instrument. It was also fascinating to watch the Irish dancer, as I used to practice Irish dance when I was younger. Seeing the dance live brought back many memories. We went do dinner […]
I can’t believe my trip is halfway done! I knew time would go by quickly, but I didn’t think it would go this fast. This week has been a little more relaxed. On Thursday, we had a scheduled fairytale and folklore storytelling where we were told tales of fairies and leprechauns. It was pretty enchanting. Dinner afterward was delicious. I had Irish brown bread and shepherd’s pie. Friday was a really fun and relaxing day. A lot of people were either off from work or were working remotely, so I got to spend time with friends unexpectedly. I played basketball […]
