Wow, after seven months of being in Europe, I go home in two days. This last week has really rounded out my experience in Europe. I feel like now I know more what it is like to live here (rather than visit) than I ever did before. This came with experiencing with their healthcare and pharmacies, traveling throughout Germany, and fixing my own flight at the airport. I have learned and grown so much from my experiences alone in Europe. Before coming here, I felt like my age when Covid came (freshly 17), but now I fully feel 21 and […]
Okay everyone, I would like to invite you on the journey of my last Sunday. Ignore the fact that my phone is in Spanish, but take note of the timestamp (2:46) on this note of what I wanted to write my blog about and I will honor my 2:26pm, Sunday, July 14 wishes. So first, some background. If you’ve been reading through my blogs, you might remember that my family came a little over a month ago. I really like the UK. I had previously only been to London and I really loved it, but this past week I can add Glasgow, Scotland and Belfast, Northern Ireland to the list, and I loved it even more! We took a trip to Glasgow which is supposedly where the Howie’s come from, and it was so fun to explore. We took a boat cruise around Loche Lomond, visited Sterling castle, tried haggis, as well as fed and pet highland cows. It was a whirlwind day, but so so much fun! We had 5 hours of sleep before going back […]
Mamamia did I have a great weekend! Stella and I flew to Skiathos, Greece and spent the weekend in the two islands of Skiathos and Skopelos or as commonly referred to the Mamamia island because it’s where Mamamia was filmed. We trekked all the way up to the top of the hill to see the chapel where they filmed the wedding scene, and the whole experience was absolutely incredible! Let me take you along with us! We fly a wonderful Aer Lingus flight (very lucky not cancelled because of the strike) with the plane lovingly landed EI-FAT which of course […]
This week has been filled with great weather, food, and experiences! Sunday and Monday have been in the 70s and sunny which has been absolutely gorgeous. On Sunday, a group of us went to a local farmers market and it was so fun! I had some delicious baked goods and a refreshing smoothie as we laid out in the park and soaked up the sun. I have really been taking advantage of good food this week. We went to a group dinner this past Thursday and I had the best shepherd’s pie I’ve ever had (sorry mom). And I’m super […]
