Last weekend was probably the most eventful one of my life. I fear I’m about to write a lot lol. We started on Friday at 1:30 in the morning in preparation for a completely delirious 2 am bus ride to the airport. By 6 the rest of the group, about 10 others, showed up for our group trip to Amsterdam. After sleeping on the quick plane, we took a bus to the city center and headed for the hotel. Right away we were greeted by canals and the picturesque architecture notorious for the Netherlands. It was only at this point […]
With just a few fleeting weeks to go, I’m really trying to savor everything and check off some more boxes. Starting last Friday, I’ve been trying to go out to more places throughout the city in attempt to prevent consistency. On Saturday we first went to the Hill of Tara which reminded me of Pennslyvania with its rolling hills and generally flat landscape. Later on we went to Trim Casle which was impressive as others we’ve seen. We then went into town and Cassidy and I, fiends for a chai latte, searched about 10 different spots until our craving was […]
Week 6 already! These last 7 days have definitely been the most eventful thus far and simultaneously some of my favorite of the trip. Starting on last Wednesday, Cassidy Jenna Madelyn and I went to the Stevie Nicks concert. Following a transportation mishap that resulted in a pleasant but expensive FreeNow ride, I arrived on time. Stevie’s demeanor was surprisingly youthful as she told stories and recalled her Fleetwood Mac years between songs. I knew every word which made for some embarrassing videos of my screaming the lyrics without consideration of my volume and lack of singing ability. Afterwards we […]
It’s so hard to believe we’re over halfway through the trip. I’d elaborate on that fact, though I feel so fortunate to feel as sad as I do. Nonetheless, this last week was jam-packed with commentary on “this is making it in the blog post”!!! After a nonstop work week, Madelyn, Cassidy and I’s Scotland trip came out of nowhere. Followed by a shortened work day, I went back to campus, thanked my past self for packing early since I allotted myself no time that afternoon, and headed north. In prep for our Stevie Nicks and Hozier concerts next week […]
Starting on last Thursday, we had a really nice meal at Merchant’s Arch. The multistory restaurant incorporated an ample amount of photos on the wall, a vestigate of its history which I found cool. As for my internship last week I organized press packs, have been keeping up with their coverage and updating them in reports and had a few writing assignments. Overall I feel super comfortable in the work environment, am able to listen to music all day and just flow through tasks easily. On Friday my credit card took a HIT, booking trips for both Scotland and Amsterdam […]
