Friday 7/19 This friday, I left Dublin to go to Paris. My best friend from home is living in Paris for the summer doing research. So, during the free weekend, I decided to go and visit her. I have always wanted to see Paris, and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to see the city right before the olympic games started. Wednesday 7/10 This Wednesday, I was back to doing reviews of records. This entails going through sets of medical records, and picking out any time a specific phrase or topic comes up. This can be tedious, but I feel enjoy in because I can often see how this is going to contribute to the case, and really feel like I am having an affect on the case. This Wednesday was our very own Kat’s Birthday. To celebrate, we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. The dinner was in Temple bar area, which I actually have not spent much time exploring, so I was glad to be able to visit it a bit. At the restaurant, I got a risotto with lamb, which was absolutely delicious. I normally try to avoid eating veal and lamb, as I do not really like the idea of eating baby animal meat. Thursday This week was probably one of my favorite weeks in Dublin so far. Thursday, I had a great day at work. I was working on a new task, drafting briefs to send to one of the medical experts in the case. This combined a bunch of things I had been working on into one. I continued to work on this sort of activity, throughout the rest of the week, and it sort of feels like the company I am working at finally trusts me with the bigger tasks, rather than smaller minute things they need done. Thursday This Thursday was a warmer day, which was really nice! However, I definitely felt one culture shock I had been expecting for the first time: the lack of AC! My office building has 6 levels, and on thursday I was working on the second highest level. This meant it was super warm. I was actually missing the usual chill in Dublin.
