New Experiences

Looking back at this past weekend in western Ireland, I experienced a whole different part of the country, and saw some really cool places. We stayed in Galway both nights, but during the day we traveled around the countryside and neighboring places around Galway. Some of the attractions that we did were the cliffs of Moher, Killary sheep farm, and Kylemore Abbey My favorite excursion so far was the Cliffs of Moher, which we stopped by on the way to Galway. Settling in

With almost 10 days under my belt, it is safe to say that I am comfortably settled into my new home in Dublin. In my internship, each day got more and more comfortable, with my supervisor even giving me a key to the office. I got let out a couple hours early this first week, which is always a nice surprise. One of my coworkers gave me a suggestion of some good pubs and bars near UCD. With our 4th day in the book, I have learned a lot about myself and Ireland. I knew of some of the challenges of living in a different country, but have come across some more. The biggest transition for me is how independent you have to be throughout the week, and the responsibilities that come with that.
