Dublin’s Hundred Acre Wood

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” Winnie the Pooh This has, and always will be, one of my favorite quotes and I think it perfectly describes my attitude toward this final week. I feel so incredibly blessed that I was given the opportunity to experience something like this. Thank you to everyone who played a part in my getting here, words cannot express my gratitude for you all. And to the people who have been by my side these last two months, thank you, too. You are the craziest, kindest, funniest, most caring […]

Aliyah Cohen: Ireland Week #8

This weekend was one of the most incredible of my life. Stella and I traveled to the French Riviera, aka Côte d’Azur. We flew into Nice on Saturday morning after a rough 2 a.m. wake-up. Immediately after stepping off the plane, I felt the sun beaming down on me and the incredible warm weather. We took the bus to Antibes, where we stayed, and immediately hit the beach. We were exhausted, but who could complain?  The next day, we went to Grasse, the perfume capital of the world. We took the train and a bus there; I attribute my transportation-taking […]

Last Blog :( : Week 8 Blog

Sadly, this is my last week in Dublin, Ireland. And for this last blog, I want to take the opportunity to show my appreciation for everyone who has helped me with this amazing chapter of my life and the best two months abroad in Dublin. To begin with, I want to thank all of my friends that I have made on this trip. Without you, I would not have had as good of a time as I had. Especially to my Nicole, for being by my side through every late night, movie trips, and adventures we went on. You made […]

Kayla Howie Week 8

Wow, after seven months of being in Europe, I go home in two days. This last week has really rounded out my experience in Europe. I feel like now I know more what it is like to live here (rather than visit) than I ever did before. This came with experiencing with their healthcare and pharmacies, traveling throughout Germany, and fixing my own flight at the airport. I have learned and grown so much from my experiences alone in Europe. Before coming here, I felt like my age when Covid came (freshly 17), but now I fully feel 21 and […]

Stella Chang:Week 8

Enfin, le week-end libre! For the free weekend, Aliyah and I decided to go to France! We stayed in Antibes and spent our four days traveling all across the Côte d’Azur (French Riveria), Monaco, and even Italy! Day 1: Antibes We landed in Nice Côte d’Azur Airport at noon after a chaotic connecting flight in the huge Charles De Gaulle Airport. We braved French public transportation and took the bus to our Airbnb. We did make it to the Airbnb that was amazingly small, but nonetheless very cute. If I ever choose to sell a house, I would want our […]
